«Being passionate about mountain sports, I’d been wanting to work on a cult accessory for a long time – the famous glacier glasses. 

The aim of the exercise was to swap the original sporting use of this model for a more lifestyle look, and to create it in optical frames. And 3B therefore contains all the key features of this inspi- rational piece, but in a reworked format:

- on the front, we’ve focused on the rounded, original shape of glacier glasses: concentric circles are re- peated and overlaid, sometimes even appearing to be de- tached from the frame.
- We have of course kept the curve of the temples, a unique feature, and little seen in eyewear.
- Matt/gloss contrasts are also well represented through the choice of finishes.
- An extra nod to the source of inspiration: we chose to replace the usual leather of the protective side shields with acetate to bring out the beauty and depth of color.

Key features are accentuated in the SHOW model of the col- lection (available in a limited edition), and become progres- sively more discreet in the STUDIO and LIVE ! ranges. 

The clever idea?
The curled metal temples with adjustable endtips offer ex- cellent grip; they can also be adapted to other Dilem models and are practical for sporting use!»
